Hey! I’m Jordan, a therapist in downtown Waterville, Ohio.

Jordan Howe, MA, LPCC

I believe that human connection has the transformative power to heal, and therapy begins with safe relationships between therapists and clients.

Here’s what the alphabet soup means behind my name: MA means Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I received this degree from the University of Toledo. LPCC is Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. In Ohio, this means that I can practice, diagnose, and treat clients independently without supervision. That said, I highly value consulting and collaborating with colleagues and do so on a regular basis.

I work with adolescents and adults. My formal trainings are in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or RO DBT for short, as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Read on to learn more about the therapy I’m trained in.

RO DBT

In a nutshell, RO DBT is created for people who struggle with problems of over-control. What’s problems of over-control, you ask? Think too much perfectionism, rigidness, difficulty being open to new things or feedback from others, and/or having a hard time connecting with others (despite being around people and even having friends!). Feel free to visit radicallyopen.net to learn more about it.

EMDR

Been through something traumatic? Struggle with negative beliefs about yourself? You’re not alone. EMDR has helped countless people heal from the stress that comes from going through trauma and experiencing negative beliefs. A quick Google search will give you a wealth of information, and I’ve found that this website explains this therapy concisely.
